NOBODY should have to sleep in their car.

  • As an increasing number of Americans rely on their vehicles for work and shelter it is becoming clear that the needs of the vehicle-dwelling community are not being served.

Often, a car or truck is the last lifeline for these folks to maintain their jobs, security, and contact with their loved ones.

Very few organizations are working to address their specific issues.

  • SleepSafe exists to provide information, advice, and resources to the vehicle-dwelling community to ensure that their health and dignity are maintained on the road to a better situation.

Through a series of innovative projects, we believe we can empower vehicle-dwellers to find/keep work, save money, stay healthy, and move forward.

By working with local civil authorities and private corporations we also seek to reduce the visual/practical impact of vehicle dwellers on local residents.

  • A world where sleeping in your car is entirely optional.

A society that provides compassionate spaces for people to sleep, in whatever way they must.

Parking lots with restrooms, showers, laundry, and everything else the working homeless need to stay focused & productive, in every major city.

Educated, empathetic civil authorities who will provide police, fire, or EMT response without targeting a car dweller’s vehicle or legal status.
